ACADEMICS

Overview

At Green Hills Academy, we offer an international education from Nursery through Grade 12. We develop our students into principled, lifelong learners and internationally-minded global citizens who contribute to creating a more peaceful and sustainable world. We also instill in our learners the ability to think critically and independently, act empathically, ethically and courageously, and manage their own learning and lives.

We offer an English program and a French/English program from Nursery through Grade 8. In the English program all subjects are taught in English, except other languages. In the French/English (50/50) program, we teach half the core subjects in English and half in French. In our French/English program, learners develop native proficiency in French and English.

At GHA, we use the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, the Cambridge International curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Grades 11 and 12. Upon graduation from Green Hills Academy with an International Baccalaureate Diploma, our learners gain admission to and excel in excellent universities around the world.

Support Staff

Green Hills Academy also employs staff to support teaching and learning, such as:
  • A College and Career Counselor
  • Social and Emotional Support Counselors
  • Reading Intervention Teachers
  • Special Needs Coordinator
At Green Hills, we encourage risk-taking and cater to the whole child. We believe that it is our responsibility to not only nurture the intellectual curiosity of children, but also to teach skills, attitude, and character. We do this through Round Square ideals, the IB learner profile, and our vision.
